Within each chapter, there are teaching strategies, tips, common misconceptions, assessment and evaluation, supporting diverse student needs, answers to questions within investigations, multi-labs, quick labs, illustration captions, Web links, and special features, safety precautions, section review answers. At the end of each chapter, there are chapter review answers.     This resource also includes blackline masters, labs and problems manual in editable format, and an electronic solutions manual. There will be a dedicated book site for the Nova Scotia physics program. This will include Web links for students and teachers, selected illustrations from the textbook, and additional material as identified jointly by McGraw-Hill Ryerson and the NS Department of Education. The additional suggested helpful resources in the TR identify appropriate media, technology, and community resources to support the physics classroom. The TR is also in PDF files. Also included in the TR are assessment strategies, both formative and summative, with various references to accompanying rubrics, assessments checklist, and blackline masters where needed (for example, the assessment and evaluation charts that appear throughout the TR). The TR provides suggestions and guidance to teachers for modelling the use of discussion for learning. The contents of the teacher's resource can be loaded on the teacher's computer and the original CD kept as a back-up.
