In 1783, Thomas Peters and his family came to Nova Scotia with a group of settlers, known as the Black Loyalist, who were promised land in Nova Scotia if they settled in the province. The Black Loyalists did not receive the land promised to them. Peters organized a petition that was signed by hundreds of Black Loyalist families, and in 1792 took the petition to England to present it to the King.    *Each set is a bundle that includes a storyboard, a PDF for classroom use, and 6 bi-folds.
